"Your SSID or WEP key might be incorrectly set.

a.With the Ethernet cable attached, print a network configuration page.

b.For more information on printing a network configuration page, see use the network configuration tools on page 75.

c.Make sure the network SSID and WEP key shown on the configuration page match those used on your wireless network.

d.If one or both are incorrect, enter either the URL or device IP address from the configuration page into the Address field on your Web browser.

e.The HP PSC EWS Home page appears.

f.Select the Networking tab.

g.At the Network Settings page, select the Wireless tab.

h.Enter the correct values in the appropriate sections (Network Name and Encryption).

i.Click Apply.

a.Print a network configuration page.

b.Enter either the URL or device IP address from the network configuration page into the Address field on your Web browser.

c.From the Home page navigation menu, click Select Language.

d.Use the drop-down box to select a language for the Web interface.

e.Click the Networking tab.

The Network Settings page appears. The General tab is open.

f.Click the Wireless tab.

g.Scroll down to the Encryption section where you can add Static (WEP) encryption parameters

h.Select Enabled.

i.Under Static (WEP) enter the WEP keys used by your network.

In static encryption, the same key is used for all devices on the network and the key remains the same for long periods of time.

j.Choose the key to be used to encrypt transmitted data. (The installer defaults to Key 1.)

k.Click Apply.

l.If the installation has terminated, restart the HP PSC software CD-ROM.
