Using the Boot Console User Interface

To use the boot console user in terface, follow these steps:

1.Shut down your system.

2.Turn o￿ the system, for a few seconds. Then, turn it bac k on.

3. Press 4ESC5 at the prompt \ Searching for system . . . " In a few seconds, this message appears:

Terminating selection process.

A short time later, this message appears and devices that can boot HP-UX are listed as they are found. F or example:

Searching for potential boot devices. To terminate search, press and hold the ESCAPE key.
