Displaying the LAN Station Address

The LAN station address of y our system is the label that uniquely iden ti￿es the LAN connection for it at the link lev el (the hardware level). It is sometimes necessary for y ou to supply this address to other users. F or example, if your system is to become a mem ber of a cluster, the cluster administrator needs to kno w your LAN station address in order to add y our system to the cluster.

To display your system's LAN station address, t ype the following at the prompt:

The LAN station address is displa yed as a thirteen-digit n umber in hexadecimal notation, like the follo wing:

Using the VME Backplane Networking Parameters
