If you have only made this change to your system, executing mount -awill

 

mount the new disk automatically , and it will sta y mounted until you reboot

 

your system. (Note that using the

-aoption mounts all unmounted devices in

 

/etc/checklist .)

 

 

 

 

After mounting a new disk on a directory , an ll listing of the directory should

 

give you at least one ￿le or directory en try. For example:

See the next section for information on unmoun ting the disc before y ou remove it.

Removing and Inserting a Disc

You must mount a CD ROM disc every time you insert it into the drive, and you must unmount the disc before the system will allow y ou to eject it from the drive.

Note

The eject button on the CD R OM drive is disabled while the

 

device is mounted or in use.
