Determining Existing Memory
Follow these steps to determine ho w much memory your Model 742i already has:
1.If your system is operating, sh ut down the operating system follo wing normal shutdown procedures (see \Sh utting Down Your System" in Chapter 3, in this man ual).
2.When shutdown has completed, turn o y our host workstation or card cage. Then turn it on.
3.Note the amount of memory listed when the Boot R OM display shows the memory line, suc h as the following example:
16 MB of memory have been configured
4.Write down the current amount of memory on y our system: RAM Bytes.

Boards must be installed in pairs; eac h board must be the same size.
