Modifying the Dialer Service

Use the SET/DEFINE/CHANGE DIALER SERVICE dialer-service-namecommand to define the dialer service. The dialer-service-namecharacteristic is a string of 1 to 16 characters.

The dialer service name must be unique to the server. Before you create a new dialer service, use the SHOW DIALER SERVICE command to verify that the new name does not conflict with that of an existing dialer service.

For a detailed explanation of command keywords used to mange dialer services, see the Command Definitions section in Chapter 2.

Example: Change Dialer Name

The following example uses many of the keyword options in the command line:

Local> CHANGE DIALER on_the_road PORT 4-9 IDENT "Dial-back"

Local> CHANGE DIALER on_the_road NUMBER "*" MODE *
