If you attach a standard DIGITAL video terminal to an access server port, the basic device characteristics described in this chapter are the only ones that you need to consider.
If you are configuring a port to communicate with a modem, PC, computer interface, or nonstandard terminal, refer to the signal characteristics described in Chapter 10 in addition to the characteristics described in this chapter.
Command
To configure or modify a basic device characteristic, use the SET/CHANGE/
MODIFY command for the appropriate characteristic.
