Setting the Operational Mode on 3Com Standalone RMON-2 Agents 155

■Traffix Mode Sets appropriate table sizes on the device for use with Traffix Manager.

■Off Disables RMON-2. With RMON-2 disabled you can download SmartAgent® software to the device.

If you disable RMON-2 on an agent which supports both RMON standards, RMON-1 will still be enabled. Traffix Manager can only collect limited data, in the form of line statistics reports, from an agent that supports RMON-1 only. See Appendix I, “Using RMON-1 Agents” for more information.
