-o "string"

Speci®es that the string listed in quotes be passed to the Tivoli Software Distribution tool. For a list of possible ¯ags to be passed, see ªCommand line ¯agsº.

inputFile

Speci®es the ®les to be copied and the name of the package speci®cation ®le. You can specify this parameter in these ways:

vSpecify the name of an include ®le, whose contents is a list of input ®les.

One of these input ®les must be a package speci®cation ®le with the extension .pkf. In this case, you must also specify the -iparameter.

vSpecify a list of two or more ®les. One of the ®les must be a package speci®cation ®le with the extension .pkf.

vSpecify the directory from which the ®les are to be copied and the name of the package speci®cation ®le.

If more than one package ®le is listed, the ®rst package ®le on the command line or in the include ®le is used, and the others are treated as ordinary ®les.

The following are examples of specifying input ®les.

teamcpak -i softdist myInputFile

teamcpak softdist d:\inputDir\myPkfFile.pkf inputFile1 inputFile2 . . .

Command line ¯ags

You can specify the following ¯ags in the teamcpak command, using the-oparameter. All of these ¯ags are optional.

-aCreate directories on the target.

-cClear the target (delete all speci®ed ®les and directories) before the apply. If you use this option, do not use the -x option.

-tOverwrite existing ®les (delete speci®ed ®les on the target prior to distribution).

-mAccept input errors, such as missing ®les and directories from the SOURCE keyword.

-nSend no notices to Tivoli. If you want to post Tivoli notices, you must con®gure Tivoli Notices before using this packaging tool.

-pPreview only; do not actually distribute ®les.

-rReboot the target after distribution.

-xIf an error occurs, leave any distributed ®les on the target; do not clean up. If you use this option, do not use the -c option.

-kKeep the Tivoli ®le package. To enable the Tivoli Software Distribution tool to perform more efficiently, the Tivoli Software Distribution package ®le is created when the package part is created and then destroyed and recreated whenever the part is modi®ed. Use the -k option to prevent the package ®le from being destroyed.
