Original Orientation and Scan Area Setting

To correctly display the top/bottom orientation of the scanned original on a computer, original orientation and page flow must be set when placing the original.

When using the network delivery scanner and Document Server, set- tings are made on the control panel of the machine. When using the ma- chine as a network TWAIN scanner, settings are made on the TWAIN driver.

For a Network Delivery Scanner and Document Server

A On the Scanner Function screen, press [Original Settings].

B Make settings for original orien- tation, 1 sided/2 sided combina- tion, and mixed original sizes.

❒The initial values can be changed under [Original Setting], [Original Orientation Priority], or

[Mixed Original Sizes Priority] in the Scanner Initial Setup. ⇒ p.18 “Making Scanner Settings”

1-sided original/2-sided original selection

AWhen scanning one-sided orig- inal, make sure that [2 Sided Original] is not highlighted.

BWhen scanning two-sided orig-

inal, press [2 Sided Original] to se- 3

lect [T to T] or [T to B] according to the binding orientation of the original.

Orientation selection

A Press the key for the same ori- entation as the actual orienta- tion of the original ( or ).

Mixed size selection

A When originals of the same width and different length are placed, make sure that [Mixed size] is highlighted.

Note

❒If [Mixed size] is not set, the scan size is set as the maxi- mum size and a space is pro- vided on the small original.
