Use

Alarms

Set an alarm to sound when the printer requires user intervention.

 

Alarm Control

When activated, Alarm Control lets you set the number of times

 

Cartridge Alarm

that the alarm sounds, while Cartridge Alarm lets you stop printing

 

when a cartridge-low condition occurs.

 

 

 

 

For each alarm type, select from the following options:

 

 

Off

 

 

Single

 

 

Continuous

 

 

Notes:

 

 

Single is the factory default setting for Alarm Control. This

 

 

sounds three quick beeps.

 

 

Off is the factory default setting for Cartridge Alarm. This

 

 

means no alarm will sound.

 

 

Continuous repeats three beeps every 10 seconds.

 

 

 

 

Timeouts

Specify the number of minutes of inactivity before the printer

 

Standby Mode

enters a lower power state.

 

Disabled

Note: 15 is the factory default setting.

Timeouts

Set the amount of time in minutes the printer waits after a job is

 

Sleep Mode

printed before it goes into a reduced power state.

Notes:

30 is the factory default setting.

 

 

 

 

Disabled appears only when Energy Conserve is set to Off.

 

 

Lower settings conserve more energy, but may require

 

 

longer warmup times.

 

 

Select a high setting if the printer is in constant use. Under

 

 

most circumstances, this keeps the printer ready to print

 

 

with minimum warmup time.

 

Timeouts

Set the amount of time the printer waits before it goes to Hibernate

 

Timeout

mode.

 

Disabled

Notes:

 

1 hour

Disabled is the factory default setting for printers except in

 

2 hours

 

European Union countries and Switzerland.

 

3 hours

 

“3 days” is the factory default setting for Class B printers in

 

6 hours

 

European Union countries and Switzerland.
