Scanning photos into an editing application
For Windows users
1Load a photo or photos.
The Instant Preview screen appears.
2Click or Start.
3Click All Programs or Programs, and then select the printer program folder from the list.
4Navigate to:
Printer Home > select your printer > Photo
•If you want to scan a single photo, o r multiple photos as a sing le image, then select Sin gle photo.
•If y o u w an t t o s c a n mu l t i p l e p ho t o s a t on c e a n d s av e t h e m a s se p a r a t e i m a g e s , t he n s e l e ct S plit into individual
photos.
Note: Allow at leas t 1/4 in ch of sp ace bet ween ph otos i f you wa nt to sc an mult iple ph otos at once an d save
them as separate images.
Scanning starts and the scan pro gress dialog appears.
5Save the photo or photos, and open them in a photo editing application to edit.
For Macintosh users
1Load a photo or photos.
The Instant Preview screen appears.
2From the Finder, navigate to:
Applications > select your printer folder
3Double-click Scan Center.
If scanning from a network printer, then you must first add the printer to the Edit Device List dialog.
aFrom the Device pop-up menu, choose Browse Devices.
bFrom the Edit Device List dialog, add your printer. For more information, click .
cClick OK.
4From the “What is being scanned?” area of the Scan Center, select Photo.
5From the “How will the scanned image be used?” pop-up menu, choose To be printed or To be viewed on
monitor/Web page.
6From the “Send scanned image to” menu , choose a destination folder o r application for the scanned image.
7If you have several images to scan, then select Prompt for mul tiple pages.
8Click Preview/Edit.
The Scan dialog appears.
9Adjust the image and scan settings as needed.
10 Click Scan.
