• Select “System Programming”.
• Enter the System Programming Password and select “Lines”.
• Press the Scroll Down key () until “ T1 (RBS) or PRI (ISDN)” is displayed.
• Select T1 (RBS)
• Select “Framing”.
• Two options are presented “D4 Superframe” or “Extended Superframe”.
• Select the required option.
• The default setting is D 4 Superframe. A solid diamond indicates the option selected.
Programming the type of Coding on the T1
There are two different types of coding programmable on the T1 interface. They are either AMI or B8ZS.
• From the programming extension, press the PROGRAM key.
• Press the Scroll Down key () until “System Programming” is displayed.
• Select “System Programming”.
• Enter the System Programming Password and select “Lines”.
• Press the Scroll Down key () until “T1 (RBS) or PRI (ISDN)” is displayed.
• Select T1 (RBS).
• Select “Coding”.
• Two options are presented “AMI” or “B8ZS”.
• Select the required option.
The default setting is AMI. A solid diamond indicates the option selected.
Programming the Line Build-Out on the T1
The Line Build out can be set at 0dB, -7.5dB, -15dB or -22dB.
• From the programming extension, press the PROGRAM key.
• Press the Scroll Down key () until “System Programming” is displayed.
• Select “System Programming”.
• Enter the System Programming Password and select “Lines”.
• Press the Scroll Down key () until “ T1 (RBS) or PRI (ISDN)” is displayed.
• Select T1 (RBS).
• Select “Line Build-Out”.
• Select the required option.
The default is -7.5 dB.
Programming the Line Types on the T1
The Line Type can be set as E&M (default), DID, Loop Start or Ground Start.
• From the programming extension, press the PROGRAM key.
• Press the Scroll Down key () until “System Programming” is displayed.
• Select “System Programming”.
• Enter the System Programming Password and select “Lines”.
• Press the Scroll Down key () until “T1 (RBS) or PRI (ISDN)” is displayed.
• Select T1 (RBS).
• Select “Line Type”.
• Select the required option.
The default is that all lines are set as E&M.
Programming the Service Types
Once the line type is selected the Service Types relevant to the particular type of line is presented.
For E&M Line Type the following Service Types are available: -
None - No Service Type is set.
