Equipped Lines programming when Trunk Type T1 ISDN is programmed
The number of ISDN B-channels available is set in the Equipped Line Programming. In this case lines 1-23
are the B-channels and Lines 24-27 are any CO lines installed, IP Trunks 1, IP trunks 2 are any IP trunks
installed.
From the Programming extension, press the PROGRAM key.
Press the Scroll Down key () until “System Programming” is displayed.
Select “System Programming”.
Enter the System Programming Password and select “Lines”.
Select “Equipped Lines” option.
The menu updates to show lines 1 - 23.
In the case of ISDN PRI there is no direct correlation between the line number and any particular B-
Channel.
This programming option is used to determine the number of B-channels available to the switch.
Select the number of lines corresponding to the number of B channels available.
If a line is programmed as unequipped, busy tone and the message “Not Equipped” is presented on the
display when a key programmed with the line is selected.
Equipped Lines programming when Trunk Type E1 ISDN is programmed
When a system is equipped with a PRI module, the PRI Access does not appear in the
equipped lines menu, however any additional PSTN or IP Trunks will appear here. Their line
numbers are 31 to 34 for CO Lines and IP Trunk 1, IP Trunk 2…
