• Press the Scroll Down key () until “T1 Channels” is displayed.
• Select the “PRI (ISDN) ” option.
• Select the “Line Build Out” option.
• Select the required option from the display.
The default setting is -7.5 dB.
Note: This option is presented for both the T1 (RBS) and the T1 PRI programming.
Programming the Line Gain for PRI
• From the programming extension, press the PROGRAM key
• Press the Scroll Down key () until “System Programming” is displayed.
• Select “System Programming”.
• Enter the System Programming Password and select “Lines”.
• Press the Scroll Down key () until “Channels” is displayed.
• Select the “PRI (ISDN) option.
• Select the “Line Gain” option.
• The menu updates to show the available options.
• Select either “Low”, “Medium” or “High”. A solid diamond indicates the current setting.
The default setting is High -3dB.
Note: Low is the recommended receive setting as specified in EIA 464C. Medium is the recommended
value in EIA 464B.
E1 PRI INTERFACE If E1 PRI is programmed the default settings are as follows:
Number of channels 23,
CRC4 set to ON.
E1 PRI Channel Programming
To change the Number of Channels options:
• From the programming extension, press the PROGRAM key.
• Press the Scroll Down key () until “System Programming” is displayed.
• Select “System Programming”.
• Enter the System Programming Password and select “Lines”.
• Press the Scroll Down key () until “PRI Programming” is displayed.
• Select the “Number of Channels” option.
• Enter the number of channels supplied by your PRI service provider.
• Select “Exit”.
To change the CRC4 settings:
• From the programming extension, press the PROGRAM key.
• Press the Scroll Down key () until “System Programming” is displayed.
• Select “System Programming”.
• Enter the System Programming Password and select “Lines”.
• Press the Scroll Down key () until “PRI Programming” is displayed.
• Select the “CRC4” option
• Select “CRC4 On” or “CRC4 Off” (your PRI provider should give you this information).
• Select “Exit”.
