Connecting to the ONT with embedded MoCA

If necessary, connect to the ONT to the home coaxial network. This example shows

connecting the Motorola ONT1000M with embedded Multimedia over Coax Alliance

(MoCA) technology.

CAUTION

Be sure the coaxial cabling on the customer premises is not connected to any digital

network or satellite dish.

Determine how to route the coaxial and Ethernet cables from the ONT into the home. You may need to move an existing cable drop from its present location to where the ONT is mounted.

To connect to the Motorola ONT1000M:

Open its door.

Connect the customer’s premises coaxial cable wiring to the CABLE OUT port.

If necessary, route the coaxial cables into the house.

Replace the lower half enclosure and secure the ONT1000M.
