Configuration Settings Required for Installing MP-RAS

Embedded Adaptec AIC-7880 SCSI Controller

∙On Board SCSI AIC-7880 – Enabled

∙Boot device – Enabled

∙Configure the on board SCSI to IRQ 11

Disk Array Adapter Mylex RAID Controller

∙Disable the on board SCSI boot device in BIOS Setup. This is the “Boot Device” found under “On Board SCSI AIC-7880” in the BIOS Setup.

∙Do not disable the “On Board SCSI AIC-7880” if the intended boot drive is not connected to the RAID controller.

∙Configure IRQ 14 (INTA 14) to RAID controller.
