1jdoe uses the navigation buttons to highlight the inactive call with mjane.

2jdoe presses the Switch softkey or the line button next to jdoe’s name on the screen. The call between csmith and jdoe is put on hold.

3Once again, the call between mjane and jdoe becomes active, and mjane’s line remains highlighted. The phone icons on the screen indicate the state of both calls.

4When the active call is switched, the display changes. The hold icon appears beside the call on hold and the off-hook icon appears beside the active call.

5Highlighting csmith’s call and pressing the Switch softkey will place mjane on hold and switch the call back to csmith.

Tip: Switching between calls works for both incoming and outgoing calls.

Ending a call

To end an active call, press the Goodbye button or put the handset on the receiver.

In the following example, jdoe is conversing with mjane. mjane's call is highlighted. To end this active call

1jdoe presses the Goodbye button or puts the handset on the receiver. The call is released between jdoe and mjane. The call between jdoe and csmith is left on hold. The information about the call between jdoe and csmith is displayed using the full screen. jdoe presses the Hold softkey to resume conversation with csmith.
