44Chapter 4 Making calls

Placing a conference call

The i2004 Internet Telephone allows you to connect calls together to form a conference.

While on a call, you can initiate a conference call to connect new parties to the call.

To place a conference call using the NewCall softkey

1Press the NewCall softkey. Your current call is automatically put on hold.

2Enter the new address.

3Press the Send softkey. The new address begins to ring. Once the new party answers the call, the display changes. You can speak to the newly called party and the original called party is still on hold.

4When the party answers press the Join softkey to connect the calls.

To place a conference call to entries in your inbox, outbox or address book. While on a call

1Press the NewCall softkey. Your current call is automatically put on hold.

2Press an inbox, outbox or address book quick button.

3Highlight an entry.

4Press the Select softkey. The new address begins to ring. Once the new party answers the call, the display changes. You can speak to the newly called party and the original called party is still on hold.

5To complete the conference call, press the Join softkey.

Tip: Any party, including the originator of the conference call, may hang up and the remaining callers on a conference call will still be connected.
