CHAPTER 4: Troubleshooting

Error Messages	FRU/Action Sequence
System timer error	■	Test or replace the CMOS battery, run the BIOS Setup Utility to
		reconfigure system time, then reboot the system.
	■	Test or replace the system board.
Real time clock error	■	Test or replace the CMOS battery, run the BIOS Setup Utility to
		reconfigure system time, then reboot the system.
	■	Test or replace the system board.
Previous boot incomplete - Default configuration	■	Run “Load Setup Defaults” using the BIOS Setup Utility, then reboot
used		the notebook.
	■	Test or replace the CMOS battery, run the BIOS Setup Utility to
		reconfigure system time, then reboot the system.
	■	Test or replace the system board.

		the notebook.
