Motion Picture Mode
•When you set the picture quali t y to [ ], [ ], or [ ], we recommend using a high- sp eed
card with “10MB/s” or grea t er displayed on the package.

to select [PICTURE MODE] a nd then press

.
Slide the [REC]/[PLAYBACK] selector switch to [!].
Set the mode dial to [n].
Press the shutter button halfway to focus
and then press it fully to start recording.
AAudio recording
•The available recording time B is displayed on the t op
right and the elapsed rec ording time C is displayed on
the bottom right of the screen.
•After pressing the shutt er button fully, release it strai ght
away. If the button is held down, the sound will not be
recorded for a few seconds wh en recording starts.
•When the subject is focused, th e fo cus indication
lights.
•The focus and zoom ar e fixed to the settin g when
recording starts (the first fra me).
•The audio is also r ecorded simultaneously from the
built-in microphone on this unit . (Motion pictures
cannot be recorded without au di o. )
Press the shutter button fully to stop recording.
•If the built-in memory or the car d becomes full in the middle of reco rding, the camera
stops recording automatically.
Changing the settings for the picture quality
Press [MENU/SET].
