Using the [REC] Mode Menu
For details on [REC] mode me nu settings, refer to P18.
Set the number of pixels. The hig her the number s of pixels, the finer the detail of the
pictures will appear even when they are pr inted onto large sheets.
Applicable modes: ñ·¿
When the aspect ratio is [X].
¢This item cannot be set in the Intellig ent auto mode.
When the aspect ratio is [Y].
When the aspect ratio is [W].
Note
“EZ” is an abbreviation of “Ex t end ed optical Zoo m ”.
A digital picture is made of nu merous dots called pixels. The
higher the numbers of pixels, the f iner the picture will be
when it is printed on a large p iece of paper or displayed on a
PC monitor.

If you change the aspect ratio, set th e pi c ture size again.
The extended optical zoom does not work in [TRANSFORM], [H IGH SENS.],
[HI-SPEEDBURST], [FLASH BURST], [PIN HOLE] or [FILM GRAIN] in scene mode so the
picture size for [ ] is not displayed.
Pictures may appear mosaic de pe nding on the subject and the recor ding conditions.
