Programmable Function on the Base Unit

Setting the 4-digit Base Unit PIN

You can program a 4-digit base unit PIN (Personal Identification Number). The factory preset is 0000.
Changing the PIN may prevent the unauthorised use of your unit by another person.

4Enter the new 4-digit base unit PIN
TWICE.
Abeep sounds.
The display will return to “Setting
Base”. To return to the standby mode,
press or wait for 60 seconds.

—Selecting Time Break Recall/Earth Mode
(p. 59)
—Selecting the Pause Timing (p. 60)

2Press or until the arrow points
to “Setting Base”, then press .
Input Command” is displayed.
3Press , then enter the current 4-digit
base unit PIN.
The factory preset is 0000.

If 5 beeps sound in step 3, the entered 4-digit
base unit PIN is incorrect. Enter the correct 4-
digit base unit PIN.
You can exit the programming mode any time
by pressing .

Make sure that the power is ON (p. 12), and the unit is in the standby mode.
Once you have programmed the 4-digit base unit PIN, you cannot confirm it. We recommend you
to write down the 4-digit base unit PIN. If you forget it, please consult your Panasonic Cutomer
Care Centre.
You need to enter the 4-digit base unit PIN when using the following functions.
