Replacing The unit’s memory backup battery has an expected life of the memory approximately five years under normal conditions

backup (temperature extremes can shorten the life of the battery).

battery Replace the memory backup battery every five years or

whenever the following display appears.

Replace main memory back-up battery.

Please read the operation nanual for directions.

us Do not try to replace the memory backup battery if the operating batteries are weak. Doing so may result in the loss of all data in the unit. If necessary, replace the operating batteries before replacing the memory backup battery.

1.Turn off the unit.

2.Set the battery replacement switch on the back of the unit to “REPLACE BATTERIES” (a red dot will be visible).

3.Remove the screw holding the memory backup battery cover in place.

4. Remove the memory backup cover.
