Copying or Moving a Block of Text

The unit lets you cut, copy, or paste blocks of text or selected areas of graphic images, using the application menu. The first step in cutting, copying, and pasting is to select the block of text or the area of the graphic you want to work with.

Text or a graphic that has been cut or copied is stored on the unit’s internal “clipboard.” Only one block of text or graphic can be stored in the clipboard at a time, and it will remain there until a new block of text or graphic is cut or copied. There is no limit to the number of times you can paste text or graphics from the clipboard.

You can copy or move blocks of text in virtually any application.

-tFor a full explanation of using CUT/COPY/PASTE with graphics, see p. 193.

1.Select an entry in the Index mode or display it in the View mode of an application and press [EDIT).

The entry opens in the Edit mode.
