Port Statistics

Use the Port Statistics menu to display Etherlike or RMON statistics for any port on the switch. Select the required port. The statistics displayed are indicated in the following figure and table.

Etherlike Statistics

Etherlike Statistics display key statistics from the Ethernet-like MIB for each port. Error statistics on the traffic passing through each port are displayed. This information can be used to identify potential problems with the switch (such as a faulty port or unusually heavy loading).Valuesdisplayedhavebeenaccumulatedsincethelastsystem reboot.

Description

Alignment Errors

The number of frames received that are not an

 

integral number of octets in length and do not pass

 

the FCS check.

FCS Errors

The number of frames received that are an integral

 

number of octets in length but do not pass the FCS

 

check.

Single Collision

The number of successfully transmitted frames for

which transmission is inhibited by exactly one

 

collision.

Multiple Collision

A count of successfully transmitted frames for which

Frames*

transmission is inhibited by more that one collision.

SQE Test Errors*

A count of times that the SQE TEST ERROR

 

message is generated by the PLS sublayer.
