2. Select Paste instrument from the Edit menu or use
[Ctrl] + [V] on the com puter keyboard.
3. Or right-click on t he bank and sel ect Paste
instrument.
4. Now the instrum ent is copied to the bank. If t he
copied instrument’s bank and patch number are
already occupied, y ou’ll be prom pted for an
alternate location.
If you copy an instrument from o ne le and paste it into a dierent le, the s amples associated with that
instrument are merged into the seco nd le’s wave pool. Whe n this happens, the Editor will disca rd any
samples which have exact duplicates already in the new pool, r emapping regions as necessary to use the
existing copies. is o peration avoids wasted space in the target le, but it ca n take some time to complet e.
Copying and Pasting Instruments using Drag/ Drop
Instruments can be dragged and dro pped like other objects. When you drag and drop an instrum ent within
a le, it is simply moved from o ne bank to another. When you d rag an instrument from on e le and drop it
into another le, the result is a full Copy and Paste operatio n.
Renaming an Instrument
To rename an instrument, right- click on the instrument and choose Rename from the popup menu.
Alternatively, select the instrument a nd press F2.
Deleting an Instrument
To delete an instrument, right-c lick on the instrument and choose Delete instrument f rom the popu p menu.
Alternatively, select the instrument a nd press the [ Delete] key on you r computer keyb oard. When an
instrument is deleted, its samples are not deleted. (To delete unus ed samples from a .gig l e, use the File-
Save limited command.)
