Pressing down on the pedal wi ll change to the Closed Hi-Hat samples, just like the pedal
of a real Hi-Hat.
Releasing the pedal will change to t he Open Hi-Hat samples, just like the pedal of a real
Hi-Hat would do.
However, there is one more thin g to add to be even more r ealistic. When you stomp o n
a real Hi-Hat pedal, it closes the Hi-Hat cymbals (Foot Closed Sampl es).
Right now, we can play the Foot Closed Hi-Hat on th e keyboard but we also wa nt the Sustain Pedal to
trigger one of those samples as w ell. And we want it to shut o the open Hi-Hat sampl es when closing, just
like the real thing.
18. Right-click in t he Instrument W indow and choos e “iMIDI
Rule manager…” fro m the context m enu.
(If this option is grayed out, you need to load the instrument by clicking on the Download butt on.)
