Selecting Regions To select a single region, simply click that region with the le mouse button. e rst region you select
turns orange:
To select a range of contiguous regi ons, select the r egion at one end of the range, a nd then hold dow n the
SHIFT key while cli cking the region a t the other end of the range. Y ou may also dra g the mouse to p erform
a “rubber band” selection of multi ple regions by holding down th e ALT key (the ALT key is not necessary
for this technique i f you begin the drag in the em pty gray portion of the display).
To select a range of regions that are not contiguous, hold down the CTRL key and click with the mouse to
add or remove regions from the s election.
Note that the single most recently selected region is color ed orange. is r egion has the focus – the
dimension windows and articulati on value displays refer t o this region.
If multiple regions are selected, the additional regions ar e colored yellow. Editin g functions that work with
multiple regions, such as Copy or Delete, are applied to both th e orange focus region and all of the yellow
selected regions.
Regions are stretched by grabbing the le o r right edge and d ragging
with the mouse.
