Attenuation is measured in decibe ls (dB). is param eter is always a positive number, with higher values
indicating decreasi ng output leve ls.
is eld is unavailabl e when the Attenuation co ntroller is selected. You can use an external controller
alongside an attenuation setting but t he attenuation needs to be set rst before selectin g an attenuation
controller. If the attenuation cont roller is already selected, it needs to be reset temporarily to “none” to
access the attenuation setting fo r adjustment.
Range is 0 to 96 dB , where zero is f ull volume.
6 dB boost
A 6 dB increase is available if need ed to boost individual samples.
Attenuation controller
Assigns a MIDI co ntinuous contro ller for real-time attenuation co ntrol.
By assigning the same attenuation controller to grou ps of related notes or samples, a MIDI controlled su b
mix capability can be designed into the instrument so that i ndividual sounds can have disc rete MIDI
volume control.
Attenuation control invert
Reverses the response to the Attenuation Controller. is is crucial to creating a simple MIDI controller
cross-fade layer. Both layers would be set to the same MIDI controller for attenuation but one would be
inverted with this parameter. e result would be a cross-fade.
Attenuation control threshold
is parameter allows you to assign a minimum threshold to the Attenuation Controller. is is useful for
volume crescendo/decrescendo and expressive dynamics. It’s very sim ilar to the threshold knob found on
controller/volume p edals. For exam ple, this allows a MIDI control ler to set the volu me from “full volume
to so” instead of “full volume to si lent”.
Pan
Sets the pan position by a value f rom -64 (hard le) to +63 (h ard right).
