TASCAM GigaEditor 4 Manual 167
Sample Settings
is section allows you to o verride the unity note and ne tuning of individual sam ples.
ere are some special considerations to be aware of when editing this part of th e articulation:
When you change a value in this sectio n, only the single split whi ch has the editing focus is
modied. If addit ional regions or splits are selected (in yellow) they are not modied when you
change these parameters, because the tuning and loop points appropriate to one sample are rarely
appropriate for a dierent sam ple.
Unlike other articulation parameters, these parameters are modied automatically when you map
a sample to the region.  e sample carries its o wn copy of these parameters (visible in the Sample
properties dialog) and these values are copied to t he articulation when the samp le is mapped.
Unity note
When Pitch Tracking is enabled, this is the note at which the sam ple will be played at its original or native
pitch. (When Pitch Tracking is disabled, the Unity Note is ignored.)
Fine tuning (cents)
Adjusts the ne tuning of the sample. Expressed in cents with a range of +/- 50.
Loop start, end, length
ese parameters set the loop points for the sample. Set them to zero (the default) for unlooped samples.
e loop points are also visible and adjustable in the Wa veform View window.  e green marker is t he
loop start and the red marker is t he loop end.
