INSTRUMENT MAINTENANCE

(Addendum to M300EU Manual - P/N 04145)

9.INSTRUMENT MAINTENANCE

The information found in Chapter 9 of the M300E/EM Operators Manual (P/N 04288) is applicable to the M300EU with the following exception(s):

The oven temperature should be tracked along with the other parameters listed on Table 9-2 of the M300E/EM Operators Manual (see Table 9-1below).

9.1.PERFOMING AN AUTO-REFERENCE MEASUREMENT AFTER MAINTENANCE

It is very important to manually initiate an A-REFmeasurement whenever any maintenance is performed on the M300EU, particularly if that maintenance is involves:

Opening the top cover or the front panel while the instrument is making A-REFmeasurements.

Opening the top cover or the front panel at any time when the next ACAL scheduled A-REFmeasurement cycle is < 2 hours away.

Turning off the analyzer at any time when the next ACAL scheduled A-REFmeasurement cycle is < 2 hours away.

This should be done no sooner than 2 hours after the M300EU has been operating with the front panel / top cover properly closed and sealed. One this manual A-REF measurement is performed; the analyzer will discard any erroneous A-REF ratios that may have been recorded before the instrument’s oven temperature had a chance to re-stabilize.
