6.2.2 Cleaning the Print Head

Refer to Figure 6-3, and proceed as follows:

Step 1. Turn off power, and allow about five minutes for a cool down.

Step 2. Open the cover, raise the Print Head, and remove any ribbon installed.

Step 3. Using an alcohol-moistened swab and moderate pressure, clean the Print Head elements. Check the condition of the swab. If necessary, finish with a clean swab.
