Set the AUDIO IN switches to REAR.
Aim the microphones at a sound source.

2 Connect an earphone to one EARPHONE jack. Check that the speaker sound is cut off and that you can hear the sound from the microphone in the earphone.

3 Turn the MONITOR control and check that the earphone volume changes accordingly.

4 Connect the earphone to the other EARPHONE jack. Check the earphone by repeating step 3.

(5) Testing external microphones

1 Connect external microphones to the AUDIO IN CH-1/CH-2 connectors.

6 2 Set the LINE/MIC/+48V ON switch to +48V ON or MIC in accordance with the type of the microphone power supply.

If the microphone you connect to AUDIO IN CH-1 or CH-2 is of the internal batteries type, set the appropriate LINE/MIC/+48V ON switch to MIC.

If the microphone you connect to AUDIO IN CH-1 or CH-2 is of the external power supply type, set the appropriate LINE/MIC/+48V ON switch to +48V ON.

5 Check that the audio level meter in the display panel and the audio level indicators in the viewfinder reflect the changing sound level.
