| This command is used to encrypt communications |

| 1:DES | device use DES encryption or type 2 to have the ZyXEL |

| keepalive |
| Keepalive messages are sent to the Vantage CNM server |
|

| by the ZyXEL device. They show the connection status |

| between the ZyXEL device and the Vantage CNM server. |

| This command displays the time interval in seconds |

| between the keepalive messages that the ZyXEL device |
|
|
| sends to the Vantage CNM server. |

| 0 | Use this command to disable keepalive message |

This is an example allowing Vantage CNM server (on the same subnet as your ZyXEL device) with an IP address of 10.1.1.1, to manage your device. The device and Vantage CNM communicate using DES encryption and a password of “12345678”.
