I. INTRODUCTION

Thank you for purchasing the Pana- sonic Angle Grinder. The powerful grinding action of this tool, combined with the convenience of its recharge- able battery pack, provides you with great grinding performance.

This Angle Grinder is only to be used for grinding and cutting-off.

DANGER:

This product is a grinding tool, de- signed to grind. It has a rotating disc which is capable of cutting you deep- ly, causing serious injury or death. As a result, please read this manual and the cautionary markings on the tool carefully, and obey all of the Safety Instructions to avoid such injury.

WARNING:

To reduce the risk of injury, always use proper guards when grinding.

How to Use This Manual

Please read this manual completely before starting to use your grinder. If you let someone else use the grinder, make sure they either read this man- ual or are fully instructed in the prop- er use and all safety precautions con- cerning the grinder.

Please keep this manual for future ref- erence. It contains important safety in- formation that you must follow to use the grinder safely.

Work Area Safety

1)Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite acci- dents.

2)Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liq- uids, gases or dust.

Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.

3)Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool.

Distractions can cause you to lose control.

Electrical Safety

1)Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapt- er plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools.

Unmodified plugs and matching out- lets will reduce risk of electric shock.

2)Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges and re- frigerators.
