6 KEUZE VAN DE KOFFIE - ADVIEZEN

In principe kunnen alle in de handel verkrijgbare koffie- soorten worden gebruikt.

Koffie is echter een natuurlijk product en de smaak ervan verandert naar gelang de herkomst en de melange; het verdient dus de voorkeur om verschillende soorten te proberen om het type koffie te vinden dat het meest naar uw smaak is.

Toch wordt er voor een beter resultaat aangeraden om melanges te gebruiken die speciaal gemaakt zijn voor espressomachines.

De koffie moet gelijkmatig uit de onder druk staande filterhouder stromen zonder te druppelen.

De uitloopsnelheid van de koffie kan worden gewijzigd door de koffiedosis in het filter iets te veranderen en/of door koffie met een andere maalfijnheid te gebruiken.

Saeco raadt het gebruik van per stuk verpakte ESE kof- fiepads aan om een beter resultaat in het kopje te krijgen en om de reiniging en de bereiding te vergemakkelijken.

CONTROLEER OF HET STOOMPIJPJE (PAN- NARELLO) OP HET WATEROPVANGBAKJE IS GERICHT VOORDAT U STOOM OF HEET WATER UIT

HET APPARAAT LAAT KOMEN.

7 WARM WATER

Gevaar voor brandwonden! Aan het begin van de afgifte kan wat heet water vrijkomen. Het uitloop- pijpje kan hoge temperaturen bereiken: voorkom directe

aanraking met uw handen.

•(Afb.7) - Druk op de schakelaar ON/OFF (18), het con- trolelampje binnenin gaat branden.

•Wacht tot het controlelampje van de koffieschakelaar (16) "klaar voor gebruik" aangaat, nu is de machine klaar voor gebruik.

•(Afb.18) - Zet een bak of een theeglas onder het stoom- pijpje (pannarello). Draai de kraan (5) open door deze linksom te draaien.

•Wanneer de gewenste hoeveelheid heet water verkre- gen is, draai de kraan (5) dicht door deze rechtsom te draaien.

•Neem de bak met warm water weg.

8 STOOM / CAPPUCCINO

•(Afb.7) - Druk op de schakelaar ON/OFF (18), het con- trolelampje binnenin gaat branden.

•Wacht tot het controlelampje van de koffieschakelaar (16) "klaar voor gebruik" aangaat.

•(Afb.19) - Druk op de stoomschakelaar (17). Het contro- lelampje van de koffieschakelaar (16) gaat uit.

•Wacht totdat de controlelampjes van de stoomschakelaar (17) en de koffieschakelaar (16) gaan branden. Nu is de machine klaar voor de stoomafgifte.

•(Afb.18) - Plaats een bak onder het stoompijpje en draai de heetwater-/stoomknop (5) even open, zodat het restwater uit het stoompijpje (pannarello) kan lopen; na korte tijd komt er alleen stoom uit.

•Draai de knop (5) dicht en neem de bak weg.

•Vul de kan die u voor de bereiding van de cappuccino wilt gebruiken voor 1/3 met koude melk.

Gebruik koude melk om een beter resultaat te verkrijgen

•(Afb.20) - Steek het stoompijpje in de melk en draai de knop (5) open door deze linksom te draaien; laat de bak met de melk langzaam draaien en beweeg het van onder naar boven om gelijkmatige opwarming te verkrijgen.

•Draai na beëindiging de kraan (5) dicht; neem de beker met de opgeschuimde melk weg.

•(Afb.19) - Druk opnieuw op de stoomschakelaar (17).

•Vul het circuit zoals in par. 4.5 is beschreven om de machine operatief te maken.

Opgelet: de machine is operatief wanneer het controlelampje van de schakelaar (16) “klaar

voor gebruik” continue aan is.

Nota bene: indien het niet lukt om een cappuc- cino te bereiden zoals beschreven, dient men het circuit weer te laden zoals beschreven in par. 4.5 en

vervolgens de handelingen te herhalen.

Hetzelfde systeem kan worden toegepast voor de verwarming van andere dranken.

•Reinig na deze handeling het stoompijpje met een voch- tige doek.
