FCC CLASS A VERIFICATION

STATEMENT
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class A digital d evice, pursuant to
Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful
interference when the equipment is operated in a commercial installation. This equipment generates, uses
and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance wi th the instruction
manual, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. Operation of this equipment in a
residential area is likely to cause harmful interference, in which case, the user will be required to correct the
interference at the user’s own expense.
Changes or modifications not expressly approved by 3Com could void the user’s authority to operate this
equipment.
CSA STATEMENT This Class A digital apparatus meets all requirements of the Canadian Inter ference-Causing Equipment
Regulations.

VCCI STATEMENT
This is a Class A product based on the standard of the Voluntary Control Counc il for Interference by
Information Technology Equipment (VCCI). If this equipment is used in a domes tic environment, radio
disturbance may arise. When such trouble occurs, the user may be required to take corrective action.

EMC DIRECTIVE COMPLIANCE

STATEMENT
This equipment was tested and found to conform to the Council Directive 89/336/EEC for electromagnetic
compatibility. Conformity with this Directive is based upon compliance with the following harmonized
standards:

EN 50082-1 Electromagnetic Compatibility Generic Immunity Standard:
Residential, Commercial, and Light Industry
