L4451A and L4452A Calibration Procedures

A

Time Required for Calibration

The L4451A and L4452A can be automatically calibrated under computer control. With computer control you can perform the complete calibration procedures and performance verification tests in less than 30 minutes once the instruments are warmed-up (see “L4451A and L4452A Performance Test Considerations”).

Automating Calibration Procedures

You can automate the complete verification and adjustment procedures outlined in this chapter. You can program the instrument configurations specified for each test and then enter readback verification data into a test program and compare the results to the appropriate test limit values.

The instruments must be unsecured prior to initiating the calibration procedures (see “Calibration Security”).

Recommended Test Equipment

The test equipment recommended for the performance verification and adjustment procedures is listed in Table A-1. If the exact instrument is not available, substitute calibration standards of equivalent accuracy.
