This procedure causes the switch to reboot. The switch does not forward network traffic during the reboot process. Some network traffic may be lost.
1.From the main menu on the left side of the page, select the Tools folder.
The Tools folder expands.
2.From the Tools folder, select Reboot.
The Reboot Page is displayed. See Figure 133 on page 338.
3.Go to the lower part of the page to the Reboot section.
4.In the Reboot Type field, use the
Normal - This setting reloads all configuration parameters that are saved in flash memory. See “Switch Reboot” on page 338 for more information when using this selection.
Factory Default - Resets all switch parameters to the factory default settings, including the IP address, subnet mask, and gateway address.
Caution
This setting will cause the IP address to be reset to 192.168.1.1. You will loose connectivity with the switch management software after the reboot is completed and you can login again with this IP address.
Factory Default Except IP Address - Resets all switch parameters to the factory default settings, but retains the current IP address, subnet mask, and gateway settings saved in flash memory. If the DHCP client is enabled, it remains enabled after this reset and assignment of the IP
