Other ways of putting your computer to sleep
You can also use any of the following alternate methods to put your computer to sleep:
mChoose the Sleep command from the Special menu.
mClose the display.
mMove the pointer over the Sleep Now portion of the Control Strip, then press the mouse button and choose Sleep Now from the
mHold down the Command and Shift keys while you press and release the zero (0) key.
When the computer is in sleep, a small green light flashes in the upper right- hand corner of the display.
