Removing or replacing the battery

To remove or replace the battery, follow these steps.

1Save your work, and then choose Shut Down or Sleep from the Special menu, or plug in the power adapter.

2Close the display.

3Press the battery release button on the battery.

2 Slide the battery out.

4Pull the battery out of its compartment.

5Put the battery cap on the battery to cover the battery contacts.

Always snap the battery cap on the battery when the battery is out of the computer.
