Mounting the Access Point

Note The 1552C and 1552CU access points can be installed using the pole mount kit in special circumstances. Refer to “Mounting the 1552C or 1552CU Access Point on a Pole/Wall” section on page 2-30or “Mounting the 1552C or 1552CU Access Point Facing Up in a Vault Application” section on page 2-33for installation instructions.

To mount the access point, follow these steps:

Step 1 Assemble the cable clamps to the clamp bracket on both cable brackets (Figure 2-17). You should only hand-tighten the nuts sufficiently to prevent them from falling off.

Step 2 Secure each strap bracket with two M8 x16 bolts (with lock washers) on each side of the access point with the antennas facing down. (Figure 2-18). Only hand-tighten the bolts to 13 to 15 ft lbs (17.6 to 20.3 Nm).
