Opening and Closing the System

WARNING: Whenever you need to lift the system, get others to assist you. To avoid injury, do not attempt to lift the system by yourself.

Opening the System

1Turn off the system and attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from the electrical outlet.

2Press the power button to ground the system board.

3Lay the system on its side as shown in Figure 3-2.

4Open the system by sliding the cover release tab toward the back of the system, grasp the cover on both sides, and carefully lift the cover away from the system. See Figure 3-2.
