Instant Capacity Manpages

icod_stat (1M) Manpage

Processors that cannot immediately be assigned: This field displays the number of unassigned processors (licensed or unlicensed) in the hard partition that are not assigned to the local virtual partition and cannot be instantly assigned. This number will also include CPUs in inactive cells and deconfigured CPUs. When using versions of vPars before A.04, bound processors at the time the local virtual partition booted, if unbound later, cannot be instantly assigned to the local virtual partition without an intervening reboot (subject to license limitations).

Information displayed for the local hard partition

Total processors: This field displays the number of processors physically present in the hard partition.

Intended active processors: This field displays the number of processors requested to be active for this hard partition via the icod_modify command.

Active processors: This field displays the current number of processors active in the hard partition.

Licensed processors that can be activated: This field displays the number of licensed processors that are immediately available for activation. This information is not displayed on a virtual partition.

Processors that can be activated if licensed: This field displays the number of unlicensed processors that are available for licensing and subsequent activation. These processors are also available for temporary activation if temporary capacity is available. This information is not displayed on a virtual partition.

Inactive processors that cannot immediately be activated: This field displays the number of processors (licensed or unlicensed) that cannot be activated by iCOD software. This includes CPUs in inactive cells, deconfigured processors, and failed processors deactivated due to LPMCs (Low Priority Machine Checks). This information is not displayed on a virtual partition.
