Connecting to 10/100/1000 Ethernet (Copper) Network

The connection to the customer’s 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet (copper) network is provided by the IBM Dual Port Base TX Ethernet-PCI-X Adapter, located in PCI slot 1 (on the very left side) of each P5 520 server.

This is illustrated in the figure below. It is important not to change the IP addresses on the P5 520 servers for the attachment of the DS4100 servers nor change the IP addresses on the DS4100 storage servers.
