Description

config dns zones

Specifies the Time to Live (TTL) for authority records configured

<zonename>

under the specified zone.

authority-ttl

Syntax:

NOTE: If all authority records are deleted under a specified zone, the authority TTL is reset to the default of 7200 seconds (two hours).

config dns zones <zonename> authority-ttl <number>

where:

zonename is the name of the zone whose authority records you wish to assign a Time to Live.

number is the number of seconds assigned for TTL.

delete authority

Deletes the specified authority record for the specified zone.

 

Syntax:

 

config dns zones <zonename> delete-authority

 

<authority name> ip <ipaddress>

 

where:

 

zonename is the name of the zone from which you wish to

 

delete an authority record.

 

authority name is the name of the authority record you wish

 

to delete.

 

ip address is the IP address of the host you wish to designate

 

as an authority for the specified zone.

 

 

config dns zones

Moves to the hostnames level.

<zonename>

 

hostnames

 

 

 

config dns zones <zonename> hostnames

info

Displays all hostnames under the specified zone.

Syntax:

config dns zones <zonename> hostnames info

where:

zonename is the name of the zone whose hostnames you wish to view.

Information displayed:

Host: host1.com

Method: wrr TTL: 60 Return Authoritative: Yes
