Config Sys SNMP Commands
Command Description
config sys snmp Changes the prompt level to config sys snmp.
info Displays information about SNMP agent port, sysContact,
sysName, sysLocation and auto-topology
port Allows you to specify the port on which the 7190 receives SNMP
requests.
Syntax:
config sys snmp port <agentport>
where agentport is a number between 5020 and 65535 (the
default is 161)
auto-topology Enables or disables operation of the auto-topology protocol. The
default is disable.
Syntax:
config sys snmp auto-topology [enable|disable]
sysContact Allows you to specify a value for the MIB-II variable sysContact.
The default is null.
Syntax:
config sys snmp sysContact <string>
where string is a string of displayable characters.
sysLocation Allows you to specify a value for the MIB-II variable
sysLocation. The default is null.
Syntax:
config sys snmp sysLocation <system location>
where system location is a string of displayable characters.
sysName Allows you to specify a value for the MIB-II variable sysName.
The default is the hostname of the 7190.
Syntax:
config sys snmp sysName <system name>
where system location is a string of displayable characters.
config sys snmp
community info Displays the community strings the 7190 is configured to accept,
such as Community (name), IP address, and Rights. Rights are ro
(read-only) and rw (read-write).
