6.Swing the vertical transport plate closed and rotate the release handle 180° counterclockwise.

7.Vacuum the side access door area.

WARNING: Do not make contact with any electrical components when vacuuming inside the scanner.

	8. Close the upper access door and side access doors.
Cleaning the cabinet	Clean the exterior of the scanner, the feed shelf, and exit hopper with a
	soft cloth. Remove any fingerprints, stains, or stubborn dirt with a cloth
	dampened with water or a mild cleaning agent.
