7.Release and open the vertical transport plate by rotating the release handle 180° clockwise.

8.If the Bar Code Reader is set to read data through the front scan module, remove the front imaging guide. If the Bar Code Reader is set to read data through the rear scan module, remove the rear imaging guide.

NOTE: Refer to Chapter 5, Maintenance for procedures on removing the imaging guides.
